Study in the United Kingdom from Morocco
Short degrees taught in English at world-known universities: we help with your UCAS or direct application, your English test and your Student visa.
Why study in the United Kingdom?
- Shorter programs: a bachelor's degree generally takes three years in England, and many master's degrees take one year.
- Studying in English, a major asset for an international career.
- A single application platform for undergraduate studies, UCAS, which lets you apply to several universities at once.
- Teaching built on independent work: seminars, projects and personal research.
- A possible work period after graduation under the Graduate route, subject to conditions.
Language requirements
Programs are taught in English, so universities ask for proof of English level. Depending on the level of study and the university, this can be a Secure English Language Test such as IELTS for UKVI, or another test the university accepts, such as IELTS Academic or TOEFL.
The required score depends on the program; some universities also offer pre-sessional English courses.
Student visa overview
Students apply online for a Student visa (Student route) once the university has issued a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies). The application generally requires the CAS, proof of English level, proof of funds for tuition and living costs, and a valid passport.
Applicants also pay the immigration health surcharge, which gives access to the National Health Service during the stay.
Typical admission steps from Morocco
Undergraduate applications go through UCAS; postgraduate applications are usually made directly to each university.

Studying in the UK: your questions
Answers to the questions Moroccan students and parents ask us about the United Kingdom.
UCAS is the central service used to apply for undergraduate studies in the United Kingdom. With one online application, including a personal statement and a reference, you can apply to several universities and courses. Some courses, such as medicine or applications to Oxford and Cambridge, have earlier deadlines than the others.
A CAS, or Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies, is an electronic reference issued by your UK university once you have accepted an unconditional offer and met its requirements, such as paying a deposit when asked. You need this CAS number to apply for the Student visa, so it usually arrives a few months before the start of the course.
It depends on your university and your level of study. For degree-level courses, many universities accept tests such as IELTS Academic or TOEFL. For some courses, including many below degree level, a Secure English Language Test approved by the Home Office, such as IELTS for UKVI, is required. Always check the exact test and score with your university before booking.
ProTrain helps you shortlist UK universities and courses, prepare your UCAS or direct applications and your personal statement, and get ready for IELTS or TOEFL. Once you receive your CAS, we help you build a complete Student visa file. Parents are kept informed at each step, and we meet you in our Guéliz office in Marrakech or online.
